BMW would sell many more M8 Convertibles if the (1) sales people were more knowledgeable and (2) most importantly, treated the customer better during the sales process. I nearly brought an M8 4 years ago but the sales person was so rude and condescending I decided to buy another vehicle. They need to be more professional and return calls in a timely manner and remember to follow up with questions that they told the customer “I will find out and get back to you”. Now I am looking at a 2025 BMW M8 convertible, and talked to 2 dealerships, each one was worse than the other. Makes me nearly buy a Mercedes again

I read that BMW decided to discontinue the hard top because their biggest market is in CA, and somehow the rich kids in CA want to ensure everyone knows that they drive a convertible, and thus dont want the hard top. The soft top is terrible in all respects, eg. resale value, heat shielding, noise shielding, winter performance, audio shielding. What do you think?
